Booking a 30 minute consultation is an important first step in figuring out if working together is a good fit.

A consultation call allows you to share a little about your story and hopes for counselling. It allows me to get a sense of whether my skills are a good fit for your needs.
What's the first step in getting connected?
What can you expect in a session with me?
My therapeutic approach leads me to begin our work by listening deeply to the concerns and themes that come up as you share your story and hopes. My aim is always to help my clients navigate the unique rivers of their life, discovering their own strengths and direction along the way.

My approach to therapy is inspired by Punjab’s five rivers. Like the Jhelum, I help clients explore the depths of their emotions. Chenab reflects patience and self-compassion, while Ravi symbolizes resilience through life’s challenges. Beas represents the healing power of connection, and Sutlej stands for clarity and release.
It is a privilege to walk alongside clients through their personal rivers, as they come home to themselves finding balance, strength, and peace.

A typical session lasts between 50 - 60 minutes.
If we determine you would benefit from a longer session, we can book a 90 minute session.
How long does a session last?
How many sessions will I need?
Before starting therapy, many people want to know how many sessions will be needed as it is a significant investment in time, energy and money.
The timeline may look different for everyone. There is not an exact answer because it depends on different factors. Some people may come for one or two sessions and get what they're needing and others may benefit from longer term therapy to meet their goals.

What is the accessibility of your office?
This space, unfortunately, does not have an elevator. If this is a barrier for you, I welcome a conversation about how we can find alternative options.
Where is your office and where do I park?
My office is on the second floor.

If the door is locked, please ring the blue doorbell to the left of the door handle and I will come down to let you in. When you enter the door, go up the stairs and take a left. My office is on the right side of the hallway. The door is marked with Five Rivers Counselling.

I share the space with wonderful colleagues who practice acupuncture and massage.
